Hoogtij en hoog water
Op internet is nu op tal van plaatsen te lezen dat Venetië onder water staat.
Dat is maar zeer ten dele waar. Deze week zijn elke nacht inderdaad wel delen van de stad overstroomd, maar de enigen die daar last van hebben zijn winkeliers en mensen die op de beganegrond wonen: die moeten maatregelen nemen om de boel binnen droog te houden.
De meeste toeristen merken het niet eens, die liggen op acqua altatijd in bed. Tegen de tijd dat ze opstaan is het water al lang weer weggetrokken. Zo lang duurt vloed per slot van rekening niet, zelfs niet tijdens springtij.
De enige uitzondering is vannacht, kerstnacht. Wie naar de nachtmis wil doet er goed aan rubber laarzen aan te trekken.
Morgen, 25 december, is het ergste alweer voorbij. Ook de bewoners en winkeliers kunnen ’s nachts dan met een gerust hart gaan slapen.

Lopen we eind maart kans om natte voeten te krijgen?
Is het die laaste week al een beetje voorjaar daar of te riskant en te suf weer om te gaan?

In maart is het in Venetië zeker voorjaar, veel meer voorjaar dan in Nederland. Eind maart is nog te ver weg om te kunnen zeggen hoe het er dan voorstaat met acqua alta, maar Nederlanders doen daar als regel zorgelijker over dan Venetianen.
Lang duurt een hoge waterstand ook nooit (het water trekt weg zodra het eb wordt) en rubber laarzen zijn alom te koop.
Als ik jou was zou ik gewoon lekker gaan.

This is a great blog and you should seriously think about building up this blog into a serious authority in this field, I’m sure you could definitely make a dollar or two from some ads. I would look into following recent news and raising the number of posts you make and I bet you’d start receiving some easy traffic soon. Just a thought, good luck regardless!
